Referring to the policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop relations with neighbouring Muslim countries, the President described the deepening of relations with Pakistan as a provider of all these goals and stated, "We believe that considering the existing capacities, we can transform the relations between the two countries, and therefore, in the first step, we agreed to reach the volume of $10 billion in trade between the two countries”.

The President stated that the exchange of significant capacities in the two countries will definitely benefit the two nations of Iran and Pakistan, and added, "In the meeting of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries, we decided to use these capacities to improve Iran-Pakistan relations in various political, economic, business and cultural fields at all levels”.

The President described Iran-Pakistan relations as beyond mere neighbourliness and based on brotherhood and deep and historical ties that connect the hearts and beliefs of the two nations and said, "Although the strengthening of Iran-Pakistan relations is not desired by some outsiders, due to the diverse, numerous and mutually existing capacities, the relations between the two Islamic countries should be developed further in order to secure the interests of the two nations”.
