Emphasising that there is no obstacle to the development of political, economic and cultural relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sri Lanka, the President stated, "The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the government of Sri Lanka are determined to promote the relations between the two countries in all fields and at all levels, and we are sure that this decision will benefit the two countries and the two nations”.

The President said, "Americans sought to create a safe margin for the Zionist regime by normalising the relations of the regime with some countries in the region, but they failed, and today the Zionists are the most hated regime in the eyes of the people of the world, and the Muslim, Jewish, Christian and Buddhist nations demand the rights of the Palestinians from the people and countries that support the Zionist regime”.

At the end of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran's visit to Pakistan, the two countries issued a joint statement emphasising the need to further expand commercial and economic cooperation and transform the common border of the two countries from a 'border of peace' to 'border of prosperity' while strongly condemning aggressions and crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, demanding an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, unimpeded humanitarian access to the besieged people of Gaza.
