In continuation of travel plans to Pakistan; Dr Raisi leaves Islamabad for Lahore

Continuing his travel plans to Pakistan, the President left for Lahore after holding official meetings and consultations with the Prime Minister, the President, the Speakers of the National Assemblies and the Senate, and the Commander-in-Chief of the country's army in Islamabad.

The President emphasised, "Iran and Pakistan can bring peace and stability to the two nations and the region by strengthening the cooperation between their armed forces”.

Emphasising that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no obstacle to developing relations with Pakistan, the President noted, "We see mutual benefits in the development of relations and expansion of cooperation between the two countries, and the discomfort of others from strengthening Iran-Pakistan relations is not important for Iran”.

The President said that the reason for the interest of the people of Pakistan in the Islamic revolution, Imam Khomeini, the Supreme Leader and the people of Iran, is their feeling towards the efforts of the Iranian nation to revive values, fight against oppression and colonialism, injustice, support the oppressed and pursue the unity and honour of the Islamic Ummah and stated, "The people of Pakistan and the people of Iran are together in their fight against oppression and defending the oppressed and they have the same rhythm”.

Stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers Pakistan's security as its own security, the President emphasised the need to use the capacity and opportunity of the common borders between the two countries for the benefit of the two nations.
