Expressing satisfaction over growing ties between Iran and Ecuador, Dr Rouhani said on Saturday: “Deep bonds between the two nations and governments, as well as their common goals and viewpoints towards international and regional issues requires that we further develop our ties in all fields”.

Referring to the lift of sanctions and a good opportunity to deepen ties, he said: “We are completely ready to share our experience and capabilities in different fields such as science, technology and energy with our friend country, Ecuador”.

Dr Rouhani continued that banking cooperation between the two countries is a necessary step in doing so.

Instability and low oil prices is detrimental to all countries, especially oil producers and Tehran supports any move aimed at stabilising the market and better oil prices based on fairness, justice and observing the fair share for all oil producers, said Rouhani referring to the upcoming OPEC summit in Algeria”.

At the meeting, President of Ecuador Rafael Correa also said that the Ecuadorian nation and government always respects Iranian nation and government’s campaigns and will always stand by them.

“Lift of unjust sanctions is an opportunity for further development of ties and we should make the best use of them,” continued Correa.

He added: “Ecuador is determined to foster ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all fields and in doing so, deepening of banking relations is essential to advancement of plans and programs”.
