Iran will never surrender; unity is key to foiling enemy plots: President Pezeshkian

Speaking at a ceremony, honoring the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in Tehran on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian underlined that while the Islamic Republic seeks to reduce tensions and overcome existing challenges, it will never compromise on the dignity, sovereignty, and national interests of the country.

The president stated that Iran must move beyond the current neither war nor peace situation, stressing that war is certainly not in the country’s interest.

However, he added firmly that if any party seeks to violate Iran’s dignity, territory, or national pride, the Iranian people will never retreat or surrender.

Referring to consultations with the martyred Leader, the president recalled discussions about resolving the neither war nor peace condition through dialogue, which ultimately led to continued engagement.

The dream of forcing Iran into submission will never come true, President Pezeshkian said, emphasizing that national resolve and unity have consistently defeated enemy calculations aimed at destabilizing the country.

According to the president, Iran’s strong social capital and the active presence of its people have nullified such strategies. He further noted that one of the enemy’s primary objectives is to create division within society, adding that internal unity and cohesion are the most critical pillars of national power.

No nation can be brought to its knees solely through external pressure if its internal solidarity remains intact, he added.

He reiterated that national unity, public trust, and social solidarity are strategic assets that can elevate Iran to a position beyond the imagination of its adversaries, even amid sanctions, economic pressures, and structural challenges.

President Pezeshkian also called for greater cooperation and empathy across all ethnic, religious, gender, and political groups to build a stronger and more prosperous Iran.
