Iran remains firmly committed to peace and stability in the region, President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday, noting that recent negotiations included the exchange of practical proposals and produced encouraging signals.
In a post on his X account, President Pezeshkian said the indirect talks with the United States reflected a constructive approach and showed potential for progress, while stressing that Tehran continues to closely monitor Washington’s actions.
The president emphasized: “Iran is committed to peace and stability in the region. Recent negotiations involved the exchange of practical proposals and yielded encouraging signals. However, we continue to closely monitor US actions and have made all necessary preparations for any potential scenario.”
The remarks come amid Oman-mediated diplomatic contacts in Muscat and Geneva and heightened regional sensitivities, with Iran emphasizing its preference for diplomacy alongside readiness to safeguard national interests.
