Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a message congratulating his Senegalese counterpart Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye and the people of the African country on the occasion of Senegal Independence Day.
In his message on Thursday, President Pezeshkian expressed hope that, given the strong economic potential and favorable political conditions, cooperation between Iran and Senegal, as two friendly Muslim nations, will continue to expand and deepen in political, economic, and international fields.
Senegal marks its Independence Day on April 4, commemorating the country’s separation from France in 1960. The day has been observed annually ever since.
