President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Saturday that no country benefits from war, conflict, violence, or bloodshed, emphasizing that experience has consistently shown sustainable progress can only be achieved through peace and constructive engagement.
Speaking at the International Conference on Investment and Financing Opportunities for Rail and Road Corridors in Tehran, President Pezeshkian praised regional leaders’ efforts to strengthen security and reduce tensions through cooperation and dialogue.
He described Iran’s neighboring countries as brothers, friends, and even relatives, underscoring deep historical, cultural, and social ties with Azerbaijan, Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other regional nations.
The president said expanding connectivity routes among countries promotes peace, development, knowledge-sharing, and economic growth, adding that regional states are fully capable of resolving their differences through dialogue without foreign interference.
He reaffirmed Iran’s firm determination to develop vital transport routes and enhance regional connectivity.
President Pezeshkian also highlighted Iran’s close relations with Russia, noting that agreements signed during the conference reflect a shared commitment to practical implementation rather than symbolic cooperation.
The president said that Iran is ready, within practical frameworks and based on a win–win principle, to engage in any form of interaction and cooperation to develop the transport sector. The Islamic Republic seeks to organize cooperation in a way that enables contractors, investors and partner companies to benefit, ensuring that all parties gain from this win–win equation, he added.
