President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran will not bow to pressure, injustice, or foreign interference, stressing that the Iranian people are capable of resolving their own challenges through unity and national dialogue.
President Pezeshkian made the remarks on February 11 during a massive rally marking the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran.
Referring to massive participation in the nationwide rallies, the president said the large turnout sent a clear message to the world about Iranians’ loyalty to the ideals of the revolution and their commitment to national sovereignty.
He underlined Iran’s foreign policy priorities, highlighting the expansion of relations with neighboring and Islamic countries as a strategic pillar. He thanked regional states including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Qatar, the UAE, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt for their diplomatic efforts to prevent regional escalation and oppose destabilizing actions by the United States and the Israeli regime.
President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to active diplomacy within multilateral frameworks such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), describing regional markets as vital for Iran’s economic growth.
He further said that Iran does not seek nuclear weapons and remains open to verification, while blaming US and European policies for deepening mistrust and hindering progress in talks.
The president stressed that regional issues must be resolved by regional countries, not extra-regional powers, adding that Iran supports dialogue-based solutions within international law and national red lines defined by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
On domestic unrest, President Pezeshkian said the government welcomes peaceful protests but rejects violence, vandalism, and foreign intervention. He apologized for existing shortcomings, pledged continued reforms, and concluded that unity, popular participation, and regional cooperation remain Iran’s strongest responses to external pressure.
