Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Monday that dignified dialogue and constructive engagement remain the Islamic Republic’s enduring strategy for resolving regional and international challenges, stressing that diplomacy based on mutual respect serves shared interests.

President Pezeshkian highlights dignified dialogue as Iran’s strategy for regional, global issues

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, attended by foreign ambassadors and international representatives in Tehran, President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to respectful engagement, dialogue, and diplomacy as sustainable solutions.

He welcomed recent nuclear talks mediated by neighboring countries as an opportunity for a fair and balanced outcome, underscoring Iran’s demand for recognition of its nuclear rights under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and the lifting of anti-Iran sanctions.

Highlighting Iran’s deep-rooted democracy and people-centered governance, the president said that national unity, social cohesion, and the continued presence of citizens in public life are the foundations of Iran’s stability and success.

Despite the eight-year war imposed by the Iraqi Baathist regime, extensive sanctions, and political and economic pressure, Iran has achieved significant progress in cultural, scientific, technological, industrial, and infrastructure sectors by relying on domestic capacity and national will, he noted.

The president also described peaceful protest as a legitimate right, while condemning violence, destruction of public property, and terrorist acts as organized attempts to undermine national security and stability. He emphasized that Iranians, despite diverse views, stand united in defending independence, territorial integrity, and national security.

He further condemned the Israeli regime’s actions in Gaza and criticized the silence or complicity of certain Western governments, pointing to double standards in human rights.

President Pezeshkian concluded by inviting countries worldwide to pursue sincere cooperation and expand economic, trade, and diplomatic relations, particularly with neighbors and regional partners.
