Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian took part in the inauguration ceremony of the final segment of the Zabol-Zahedan highway, which is a part of the 987-kilometer North-South corridor in Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province.
On Friday, the second day of his second trip to Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province in less than two months, Pezeshkian inaugurated the final segment of the Zabol-Zahedan highway, which spans 200 kilometers.
The president emphasized his administration's commitment to alleviating poverty and addressing the challenges faced by the people of this southeastern province, as well as other deprived areas across the country.
He highlighted the importance of tackling these issues as a core mission of the 14th administration of the Islamic Republic, noting: "We aim to collaborate with the province's elites, investors, and producers, along with cultural and religious figures, to initiate a new plan and implement the necessary changes."
During the ceremony, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh provided a report on the construction progress of this highway.
