President Masoud Pezeshkian visited the home of renowned Iranian philosopher Reza Davari Ardakani in Tehran, with the two holding a friendly conversation on various issues including education.
During the visit on Tuesday evening, President Pezeshkian praised the esteemed philosopher and sociologist as one of the great treasures of Iran, saying that his contributions to Iranian society will always be remembered.
The president spoke about his government's plans for education reforms, expressing hope that the changes will improve the quality of the education children and the youth receive.
Professor Davari Ardakani agreed that the education system is of paramount importance, citing countries like Japan, which have acted successfully in that regard.
He also shared his memories of the first time he met with the president when Pezeshkian was the dean of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1994-1999.
At the end of the meeting, the philosopher gifted President Pezeshkian three volumes of his books titled "Freedom, Law, and Organization," "Human Sciences and Development Planning," and "Now and Our Future."
Minister of Culture Abbas Salehi, Chief of the President’s Staff Mohsen Haji Mirzaei and several members of Pezeshkian’s family accompanied him during the visit.
