Stating that the level of trade relations between Iran and Pakistan is far from reaching the desired point, the President emphasised the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop trade relations with Pakistan in various commercial, industrial, agricultural and science and technology sectors.
During his one-day visit to Sistan and Baluchistan province, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and pointed out the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran government to develop relations with its neighbours and emphasised the need to expand relations between the two countries in various fields.
The President considered the construction of 7 border bazaars and electricity exchange between Iran and Pakistan as another manifestation of good cooperation and a foundation for strengthening the relations between the two countries and said, "There are good capacities for energy exchange between Iran and Pakistan".

Ayatollah Raisi considered the presence of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and his accompanying delegation at the zero point of the border with Iran as a sign of the stability of security in the Islamic Republic of Iran and added, "It is possible that some groups at the border points seek to make the borders of the two countries insecure, which requires the sensitivity of the Pakistani government".
Dr Raisi also referred to the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to resolve regional disputes between Islamic countries and referred to the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia and said, "We have never considered Saudi Arabia as our enemy, but based on the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Zionist Regime is a common enemy of the Islamic world".
In this meeting, Mr Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, while expressing his satisfaction with the presence of the President and a number of other officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the zero point of the border with Pakistan, considered the border of the two countries to be the border of friendship, brotherhood and progress.
Shehbaz Sharif also invited the President of Iran to visit Pakistan and said, "The people of Pakistan are eagerly waiting to meet you".
