Gov't trying to improve share of Khuzestan in country's economy by using its capacities/ Gov't constantly evaluating performance of managers, won't hesitate to replace unsuccessful managers

On Friday evening, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi announced at the press conference at the end of the two-day visit of the Popular Administration to Khuzestan province, referring to the allocation of 8 trillion credits for this province in the first round of visits, that during this trip, more than 200 resolutions were passed for progress and prosperity of Khuzestan province.
The President named employment and reducing unemployment as one of the most important demands of the people of Khuzestan and said, "The government is trying to take advantage of the province's capacities and pay attention to the agricultural and tourism economy, as well as strengthening trade relations with Arab countries, which have increased to 5 times in this government".
Referring to the projects inaugurated during the two-day visit of the Popular Administration to Khuzestan, Dr Raisi said, "Great work has been done in the field of electricity, and with the projects inaugurated, more than 300 megawatts of electricity entered the national grid, which will be increased to 500 megawatts in the next step".
The President added, "The plan to supply water to 10,000 villages across the country is on the agenda of the government, and during this trip, plans to supply water to 174 villages were used, and we are looking to make sure that no village in the country has a water problem until the end of the government".
Ayatollah Raisi also gave a report on the performance of the government in the development of power plants and refineries and said, "The work done in one and a half years by this government in relation to the establishment of power plants is equal to the work of the 12th government in four years and even exceeded that amount".
The President added, "Today, 160 megawatts of electricity were added to the electricity grid with the operations related to the development of the Hoveyzeh refinery, and with the collection of torches, 250 million feet of fuel, which was wasted as the country's wealth before the eyes of the people, entered the gas network".
Dr Raisi also pointed to the opening of large oil and gas projects in Khuzestan province and stated, "In the field of infrastructure projects that received little attention in previous years, with a jihadist work by young people and knowledge-based companies, employment in this field has increased and prevented capital loss".
In response to a question about the government's measures to eradicate corruption in the petrochemical sector, the President said, "Islamic system does not tolerate any kind of corruption and the 13th Administration considers itself obliged to pursue the fight against corruption seriously".
Ayatollah Raisi added, "The Popular Administration has tried to eliminate corruption-causing platforms by creating appropriate monitoring mechanisms such as integrated financial, customs and commercial systems".

Referring to the dismissal of 15 managers of Khuzestan province due to poor performance, the President stated, "If a manager is not capable of doing the job, we ourselves are the most sensitive and replace ineffective managers, and we consider this not a weakness but a strength of the government".
Ayatollah Raisi stated that today attention to the efficiency of the institutions and the fight against corruption is the concern of all the departments of the government.
In response to a reporter's question about the replacement of managers, the President emphasised, "The government is constantly evaluating the performance of the managers of the institutions, and if it is determined in a detailed evaluation that a manager has not been successful, we will not hesitate to replace them".
The President also emphasised about local selection in the selection of managers, "In recruiting human resources, experts and managers, preference is given to local forces, unless it is necessary to select a more capable manager from outside the region".
Ayatollah Raisi called on the media to help monitor the implementation of the government's provincial resolutions and said, "In addition to monitoring the government's resolutions and decisions, the results of which are reflected in people's lives, the media should provide compassionate criticism of the performance of a manager or an organisation".
