At the order of the President, the implementation of the second line of the huge Persian Gulf Water Transfer Project to Yazd and Kerman provinces began operation.

Persian Gulf Water Transfer Line to Yazd and Kerman provinces starts operation

Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, who has travelled to Yazd province on Thursday as part of the second round of provincial trips, immediately after arriving in this province, attended the site of the second phase of the huge and national project to transfer water from the Persian Gulf to Kerman and Yazd provinces.
The President then issued the order to start the implementation of this great national project in the blessed name of H.H. Fatima Zahra (PBUH).
Also, by the order of the President, the operation of 16 water and electricity projects of the Ministry of Energy in Yazd province began.
Line one of this project has transferred 130 million cubic meters of desalinated water to the central provinces of the country with 80% physical progress.
The second line of this project, which was started today by the order of the President, is designed to transfer 200 million cubic meters of desalinated water from the Persian Gulf to Yazd and Kerman provinces along a route of 730 kilometres.
Currently, the second line of this large national project has progressed by 30% and the estimated time for its completion is 48 months.
With the implementation of this huge national plan, it is expected that a significant part of the water problems of the central provinces of the country, especially Yazd and Kerman provinces, will be solved and we will witness sustainable water supply in these provinces.
