The members of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board discussed the report of the Central Bank and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade about the growth of the country's economic indicators in the field of production and employment.
In the Sunday night meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board, which was held under the chairmanship of Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, reports on the growth of Iran's economy, production and employment were presented and discussed.
First, the central bank's report on the 3% growth of Iran's economy in the first half of this year was presented. According to this report, oil group with 6.6%, industries and mines with 3.8%, services with 2.6% and agriculture group with 1.1% had the highest growth in the first six months of this year.
In this report, it was also announced that in the summer of 1401, some subgroups, including transportation and warehousing with 15.9 percent and industry with 8.7 percent, experienced a record low growth.
According to the report of the central bank, the growth rate of investment in machinery in the first half of year 1401 promises to improve the production and employment situation in the coming years.
In the meeting of the Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Board, the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade also reported on the increase in production and management of the car market. Based on this report, 876,000 vehicles were produced in 9 months, which has increased by 18% compared to the same period last year.
It is stated in this report that during the same period last year, 182,000 defective cars were piled up in the parking lots of car manufacturers, and this number has now reached zero.
In this report, the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, referring to the removal of three types of old cars, Samand, Peugeot 405 and Tiba, from the production cycle this year, and said, "The production and supply of 12 new products based on domestic platforms by the end of next year is on the agenda".
In this meeting, the President considered it necessary to control the price and respect the rights of consumers along with the growth of production.
