Stating that the public sector has not had a successful experience in the economic sector in the past 43 years, the President said, "The cooperative sector and the private sector of the country have the capacity and readiness to be active and effective in the economic sector of the country, and the public sector should support them and facilitate their working conditions".
On Thursday evening following the plans of the second provincial visit of the Popular Administration to South Khorasan province, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi attended the "Progress and Development" meeting and said, "Economic actors should not think that expressing their opinions at this meeting is enough and the government departments should also think together with those who are in the middle of the economic activity field so that they can remove the obstacles to economic prosperity".
The President stated, "Today, the enemy is angry with the all-round progress of the country and does not want Islamic Iran to progress and a significant part of the enemy's combined war against the Islamic Republic is taking place in the economic sector".
Dr Raisi pointed out that we have huge capacities in the country, the use of which can solve the country's problems, and stated, "Although in South Khorasan due to the lack of rainfall, agricultural products are limited in their ability to be cultivated, but if the chain of production, processing and sale is completed, they will create a very high added value".
The President stated that Iran has various capacities in various economic fields, such as marine economy, digital economy, agricultural economy, mining economy and other economic fields, and clarified, "Another important capacity of South Khorasan is the mines, especially the stone mines of the province".
Ayatollah Raisi tasked the Governor General of South Khorasan to investigate and solve the obstacles and problems facing the mining economy in coordination with the Supreme Council of Mines and by holding meetings with the activists and experts of the mining sector in the province.
The President noted, "The prosperity of the mining economy in South Khorasan is very important and it should be followed with speed and seriousness by the governor general and other officials".

Dr Raisi further pointed out the government's emphasis on speeding up the completion of the Ghaen-Birjand road with the aim of preventing accidents and reducing road casualties and said, "According to the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, only 12 kilometres remain from the construction of this road and its completion is a priority".
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Raisi appreciated the attention of the economic activists of South Khorasan towards the employment of women, especially women with disabilities, and added, "These measures are very welcome and valuable, and the government will support them with all its strength".
Dr Raisi stated that according to statistics and indicators, South Khorasan province is one of the safest and least crime-ridden provinces in the country, and stated, "This is due to the religious culture and morals of the people of this province, both Sunni and Shia, urban and rural, which is a huge asset".
The President further emphasised the need to introduce the economic capacities of this province to the economic activists, but also to the businesspeople of foreign countries and said, "During the trip to some neighbouring countries, they acknowledged the lack of proper recognition of Iran's economic capacities. Fortunately, during this period, the Ministry of Industry has established several commercial offices in neighbouring countries, which are very effective for identifying capacities and can be very effective".
The President further said, "Fortunately, today we have investors, entrepreneurs and economic activists in many fields, and we just have to remove the obstacles that exist on the path their activities".
Addressing the provincial officials and economic activists, Dr Raisi clarified, "My request is that you move against the enemy's will with high thought and motivation and firm belief in the slogan of WE CAN because great things are done by the capable hands of dear young people and economic activists".
The President considered the complete elimination of the unemployment problem in the country, especially in South Khorasan province, as a realisable and achievable goal and said, "God willing, with jihadist and revolutionary activity and considering the capacities of this province, we will see a day when there will be no unemployed in this province".
At the end, Ayatollah Raisi also emphasised the great scientific and cultural capacities of South Khorasan province and emphasised the necessity of using these scientific and academic capacities in the field of knowledge-based activities.
