The President stated, "The honour that the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters did in providing water, electricity and gas to the people made the people feel that the IRGC was always by their side anonymously during the Sacred Defence period and after that, and in the face of disasters as well".
Speaking on Wednesday morning at the 14th meeting of managers and commanders of the Khatam-al Anbiya Construction Headquarters, which was held with the theme of "Committed headquarters, knowledge-based construction, strong Iran" at Noor al-Reza (PBUH) Conference Hall in Tehran, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi appreciated the 33 years of service of this headquarters in the field of construction.
The President said, "The Construction Headquarters arose from the heart of engineering work during the Sacred Defence era and with the view of "WE CAN" and with the thought and motivation of construction, it became the source of lasting and great services".
Dr Raisi said, "When Islamic Iran was under a military attack on September 22, 1980, some thought that we could not manage the war, but the country was saved by the forces devoted to the revolution, and with the honourable and proud victory of the warriors of Islam, not even a single inch of our land was not given to the enemy".
The President added, "After the war, the construction work started immediately in the country, and some did not believe that we could succeed in the field of construction, but with the presence of committed forces and the efforts of the construction headquarters, great work was done".
Ayatollah Raisi said, "Our loved ones in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the construction headquarters added knowledge and wisdom to their abilities and became the source of great transformations in science and technology with hard work and effort".
In another part of his speech, the President said, "In the first decade of the Islamic Revolution, the enemy lined up with military forces against the Iranian nation and attacked our country, and today it has launched a combined war against the Islamic Republic".
Ayatollah Raisi considered the economic war as one of the most important aspects of this combined war and stated, "Today, the enemy wants to hinder the authority of Islamic Iran, but our warriors in the economic field, as they brought authority in the Sacred Defence era, are also bringing authority in this field".
The President stated that today we are the best in the defence industry by producing the most sophisticated equipment in the region and the world, at the same time he noted that Iran's pride is not limited to building missiles and we pay attention to the production of power in all fields.
Ayatollah Raisi added, "The ill-wishers want to distract us with margins by creating insecurity and stop us from the context of work, which is progress, construction and serving the people and solving problems in their lives, but we must turn the threat into an opportunity with double spirit and motivation".
Referring to our country's capacities for jihadist work, Dr Raisi said, "Europeans have limited access to the sea, but the share of their gross national product from the sea is more than 50%, and we have benefited a little from this divine gift with wide access to the sea".
The President added, "Some neighbouring countries sometimes earn as much as our oil income from the digital economy. Also, in the field of agriculture, despite the fact that our villages have adequate capacities and facilities, we have not yet reached an acceptable position".
At the end of his speech, Dr Raisi stated that the successes achieved in the field of construction should be narrated, like the successes of the Sacred Defence era.
