Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, who was present in Varamin city on Saturday, attended the Administrative Council of Varamin, Qarchak and Pishva, saying, "One of the priorities of the provincial tour of the government is following up the semi-finished projects".
Referring to his visit to some semi-finished projects in different parts of the city, the President added, "It is not acceptable at all that the implementation and completion of a construction or service project will take years longer than expected".
Dr Raisi continued his speech by emphasising the need to expedite the preparation of IDs for Afghans living in the country and said, "Afghan nationals living in Iran are our dear guests, but this does not mean that their presence and life in the country is not clear".
The President called on the officials of the Ministry of Health and the officials of Tehran and Varamin governorates to make every effort to expedite the completion of medical projects in Varamin city.
Ayatollah Raisi also stressed the need to speed up the completion of the second line of wastewater transmission in Varamin city and specified, "In addition to completing the sewerage network, developing drinking water supply capacity for different areas of Tehran province is also one of the priorities of executive bodies".
The President noted, "Varamin is one of the hubs of agricultural and livestock production and this situation should not be allowed to be harmed, but should seek to strengthen and increase agricultural and livestock production in the city".
Dr Raisi referred to the construction of 15 km of roads in Varamin and said, "Varamin Road is a part of the busy road from Tehran to Mashhad, which due to the heartfelt love of the Iranian people to the Eighth Imam (AS) and the increasing traffic on this route should be completed as soon as possible".
In another part of his speech, the President said that providing adequate building for offices, especially in new cities and sectors that are improving due to changes in the country's divisions, and said, "At the same time, we must keep in mind that the basis for promoting the division of the country is to increase the powers and capacities to solve the problems of the people, not the development of office buildings".
Ayatollah Raisi added, "A beautiful and large office building is definitely good, but the provision of such buildings should not be at the cost of allocating resources to this issue instead of solving people's problems".
The President said, "Unfortunately, some issues such as the construction of large office buildings and the construction of meeting halls in these buildings were raised at some point in the country, while in the most optimistic case, these meeting rooms may be used once a month".

The President called on government officials to do their utmost to improve the efficiency of the administrative system, noting that maintaining and promoting social capital depends on the efficiency of the administrative system.
Ayatollah Raisi further referred to the proposal to establish a customs office in Varamin city to facilitate the export of flowers and plants and said, "The fact that the customs office is located here and increases its work shifts during peak flower and plant exports requires adequate management".
The President said that the issue of wastewater treatment has a good economic efficiency, adding, "Facilitate the entry of the private sector into this field, and wherever the private sector does not participate, the public sector will take over".
