The President, who is on a visit to Oman, instructed his First Vice-President to send rescue teams of the Tehran Fire Department and provide all provincial and national facilities for the immediate response to the building collapse in Abadan.

President's special order to immediately investigate the collapse of a building in Abadan

Following the collapse of a building in the city of Abadan, which caused the death and injury of a number of citizens, President's Chief of Staff had separate telephone calls with the First Vice-President and Governor-General of Khuzestan to get the information about the latest situation, and announce the President's order to mobilise all facilities for immediate cure of the victims and debris removal.
Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, who has travelled to Muscat, the capital of Oman, to meet with the Sultan of Oman, instructed the First Vice-President as soon as he learned of the incident in Abadan, and instructed using all local and national facilities to manage and follow up with full authority in order to expedite the removal of debris and save the lives of the people under the rubble and to take care of the injured.
The President ordered that due to the announcement of the need of the Governor-General of Khuzestan, the rescue forces and the necessary facilities for debris removal and relief be sent to Abadan immediately from the Tehran Fire Department, and that urgent action be taken to identify violations leading to this incident.
Expressing his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, who were reportedly mostly hardworking workers, the President ordered that the situation of these families be given priority and that a report on the relief process be sent to him.
