Speaking on Saturday at the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi described the work of domestic companies in producing COVID-19 vaccine very valuable and said, "Supporting the production of domestic vaccines by these companies is one of the government's priorities, and in this regard, purchasing these products can make them more hopeful about continuing and expanding their activities”.
Appreciating the tireless efforts of the health care staff and all those who are involved in the fight against COVID-19, the President said, "We hope that with the cooperation of the honourable people of our country, we can reach a point of confidence in controlling this disease and protect more than 80% of people's health”.
Dr Raisi described it necessary to refrain from any action that causes laxity in observing health protocols and said, "The result of smartening some restrictions should not cause normalisation and laxity in observing health protocols”.
Emphasising the control of traffic through land, sea and air borders, Ayatollah Raisi said, "Considering that some neighbouring countries are facing a new wave of disease, it is necessary to prevent the movement of people who have not tested negative cross the country's borders".
The President also stressed the need to review the previous approvals of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, saying, "In this review, it should be determined how many of the approvals have been implemented and how many of them have not”.
