Speaking in this gathering, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said that Sistan and Baluchestan has been very developed thanks to the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the holy blood of the martyrs, and a lot of work has been done in this region, adding, "The security that we see in this region today is the fruit of the pure blood of the martyrs, which creates security".
The President added, "The defenders of the country's security took their lives in the palm of their hands and stood up against criminals so that the people of this region can be safe today. This is a great blessing that we should be grateful for".
Dr Raisi stated that another great blessing that God has bestowed on this region is the blessing of unity and cohesion, saying, "The people of Sistan and Baluchestan are living alongside each other with different dialects Sunni and Shia, and all of them respect the revolution, the system, the leader and progress and justice of the country".
Ayatollah Raisi, "We have many valuable capacities in this region. The people who love the revolution, and the human resources and the young forces that can play a role in various fields are among the great assets of the region".
The President said, "We should appreciate this blessing. One way to appreciate this blessing is to use this efficient human resources to solve the problems that exist in people's lives. We hope that the 13th government will be able to use the capacity of the country's human resources, especially the young and efficient human resources".
Dr Raisi said, "Poverty and discrimination are definitely not good for our dear nation. People are suffering from poverty while it is possible to create conditions where there is no poverty among the people".
The President thanked the people for responding to the Supreme Leader's call for faithful help and public goodwill, and said, "I appreciate everyone who are fighting this evil virus and its effects and consequences that helped the medical staff and the people, the poor and the oppressed".
Referring to the complaints of some people that the visit of the President and some members of the government to Sistan and Baluchestan was without prior announcement and preparation, and therefore the people could not welcome him, Ayatollah Raisi said, "I wish these visits to be free from protocols so that we can do something completely work-based so that we can more effectively and realistically observe the situation of different parts of the country and make more effective decisions to solve problems".
The President apologised to the people of Sistan and Baluchestan for not being able to meet and talk to the public in person during these trips due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
