Dr Rouhani while receiving the credentials of the new Romanian Ambassador:

Iran ready to exchange experiences with different countries in countering COVID-19 pandemic/ Emphasis on the need to improve the level of cooperation between Tehran and Bucharest in areas of interest

Referring to the importance of improving the level of Tehran-Bucharest cooperation in areas of interest, the President stated, "Iran is interested and ready to exchange experiences with different countries in the field of countering the coronavirus pandemic".

Speaking on Wednesday, while receiving the letter of credence of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Tehran, Dr Hassan Rouhani said, "There are good capacities for promoting cooperation between the two countries in the economic and scientific fields".

Expressing hope that in the new era, relations between the two countries will deepen even more, the President added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is interested and ready to interact and exchange views and experience in the field of countering the coronavirus pandemic with various countries, including Romania".

Ms Mirela Grecu, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to Tehran, presented her credentials to the President and said, "Tehran-Bucharest relations have always been cordial and friendly and we should take advantage of this opportunity to improve the existing cooperation and relations between the two countries".

The Romanian ambassador said, "The implementation of some agreements between the two countries has been delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak. In our consultations with the Iranian ambassador to Bucharest, we have tried to resolve delays and problems in developing relations by holding a joint bilateral cooperation commission".
