Iran-Ghana relations should be further cemented in various fields

The President described the relations between Iran and Ghana as cordial and friendly and expressed hope that in the new era, these relations would deepen in various fields.

Speaking on Wednesday, while receiving the credentials of the new ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Tehran, Dr Hassan Rouhani said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in developing cooperation with Ghana in economic and scientific fields and taking advantage of opportunities for extraterritorial cultivation".

"The development of cooperation between the private sectors of Iran and Ghana can play an effective role in enhancing the level of bilateral interaction, and the two governments should encourage the private sector and provide the necessary support for their cooperation," he said.

Mr Eric Owusu-Boateng, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana in Tehran, while presenting his credentials, called the relations between the two countries long-lasting and friendly and said, "The political relations between Iran and Ghana are very warm and cordial and we should try to develop economic relations like the friendly political ties".
