With the arrival of the first shipment of vaccine in the coming weeks, immunisation should begin according priorities/ Enemies even obstructed people's daily life, health during the economic war

After receiving the reports of the specialised committees of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus on the process of financing, purchasing the vaccine and informing about the start of vaccination, the President stressed that it is necessary to immunise people according to the priorities and plans as soon as the first vaccine shipment arrives in the coming weeks.

Speaking on Wednesday evening at the meeting of the heads of the committees of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Dr Hassan Rouhani said, "The realities of sanctions and the enemies economic war against Iran was completely tangible for people and showed that the enemies did not hesitate obstructing people's daily life and the most essential needs of human beings, which is health, and closed all possible ways we had to get vaccines and medicine".

The President stressed that one of the most honourable achievements of the government was the neutralisation of such complex sanctions in a multifaceted and full-fledged economic war that it managed to provide both the necessary funding and the vaccine itself.

He added, "I hope that domestically produced vaccines will be available next year and another honour will go to the system and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran".

Dr Rouhani expressed hope that by observing the health protocols, cities in a stable and reliable state of yellow and blue will be able to stabilise their status and prevent the occurrence of the fourth wave, and as a result, prevent severe restrictions and closure of businesses, especially when we are nearing the end of the year.

Emphasising the need to strictly follow the health protocols to prevent the fourth wave of COVID-19 outbreak and prevent its consequences on the health and livelihood of the people, the President instructed the operational headquarters of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus to cooperate with the supervisory agencies to monitor the implementation of the health protocols.

Referring to the dire situation in many countries around the world in connection with the unfortunate possibility of the outbreak of the fourth wave of coronavirus, Dr Rouhani said, "We must work together to prevent the fourth wave of the disease, which can increase the death toll and the burnout of medical and health staff".

The President also referred to the report on the process of providing e-services and its role in reducing disease and maintaining public health and said, "The development of e-government in the days of coronavirus outbreak was a great help for the country and given the preparation of most necessary infrastructure and telecommunications, the provision of major government services should be done as much as possible from the mobile government software platform and via mobile phones".

The President emphasised, "People's health is the main priority of the government and we will do everything in our power to maintain the health of the people in providing a reliable vaccine".
