Ardebil, Isfahan, Mazandaran, Yazd governor generals get confidence vote/Forex loan repayment deadline for technical-engineering services exporters to Iraq extended/Solutions for financial fight against terrorism approved/President thanks MPs for confidence vote to science, energy ministers

President Rouhani chaired a cabinet session late on Sunday and appreciated the representatives of the Majlis for giving vote of confidence to the new ministers of energy and science, research and technology.

Dr Hassan Rouhani described connection of universities to the manufacturing, labour and market sectors as necessary and urged universities to meet the real needs of society and to take on sensitive and critical responsibilities and take measures to achieve this goal.

Referring to the valuable experience and knowledge of Mr Ardakanian, the new Minister of Energy, he expressed hope that Ministry of Energy cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad and the Department of Environment in order to see better management of water resources in the country.

The Council of Ministers also voted in favour of the proposed governor generals of the provinces of Ardebil, Isfahan, Mazandaran and Yazd.

Based on the vote of confidence, Mr Akbar Behnamjoo, Mohsen Mehralizadeh, Mohammad Eslami and Mahmoud Zamani were appointed as Governor Generals of the provinces of Ardebil, Isfahan, Mazandaran and Yazd, respectively.

The President congratulated the governor generals and the opportunity provided to them to serve people, and encouraged them to observe moderation, seek to preserve the unity of the people, respect for the rights of ethnic groups and religions, women and youth.

The cabinet also agreed to extend the deadline for repayment of forex loans to the exporters of Iran's engineering and engineering services to Iraq for a period of one year in order to resolve their problems.

The Council of Ministers further discussed and approved the regulations off the Law on Combatting Financing of Terrorism.
