Inaugurating West Tehran sewage biogas plant; Iran becomes largest producer of electricity from biogas power plants and sewage treatment plants in region

With the inauguration of West Tehran Wastewater Biogas Power Plant by the President, Iran became the largest producer of electricity from the biogas power plants of sewage treatment plants in the region.

The President emphasised on expanding the use of wastewater in various industrial and agricultural sectors that have the possibility to use it and said, "The operation of 17 trillion tomans of the project that was carried out today creates the hope that 19 trillion tomans of new contract, which was signed in the sector of using wastewater in industry and agriculture, will be put into operation as soon as possible”.

With the presence of the President, 14 investment contracts for the completion and development of the country's sewage facilities were signed with the participation of the private sector in 7 provinces and worth 19 trillion tomans.

With the presence of Dr Raisi; 17 trillion tomans of water, sewage project in Tehran put into operation
