The package proposed by the Central Bank to receive the necessary powers with the aim of curbing the currency price and maintaining the value of the national currency was reviewed and approved in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination.
The Supreme Council of Economic Coordination convened a meeting on Sunday night with the presence of the heads of the three branches and other members under the chairmanship of Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.
In the 81st session of the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination, the most important economic issues of the country were raised and discussed.
In this meeting, the heads of government and members of the council emphasised the need for coordination and cooperation between the Majlis, the judiciary and the executive bodies to control and reduce the exchange rate and provide currency for the import of needed goods.

In this meeting, the Central Bank also presented a report on the measures taken in the field of cooperation between government and non-government sector exporters for the supply of currencies from exports in the Central Bank system and the exchange centre and how to supply the currency needed for imported goods.
