Pointing out that the great nation of Iran put the fight against tyranny and colonialism on the agenda with its glorious revolution, the President stated, "After the defeat of internal tyranny in February 1979, if it were not for the great movement of students with the insight of Imam Khomeini's line on November 4, the fight against colonialism would remain incomplete".
Speaking before noon on Friday at the ceremony to commemorate the National Day of Fighting Arrogance, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the emphasis of Islamic religious culture to avoid arrogance, self-conceit, and selfishness, and said, "If a person is caught up in arrogance and pharaohism, he only sees himself and his own interests, even if the interests of many people are endangered or lost".
Pointing out that the Holy Quran, the Imams and religious leaders have warned all people not to fall into arrogance and pharaohism, the President added, "Arrogance not only causes the downfall of an individual but also causes the downfall of a society".
Dr Raisi described the symbol and manifestation of arrogance today to be the domination system ruling over America, which Imam Khomeini (RA) interpreted as the great devil, and stated, "America is ready to destroy many nations and people everywhere in the world in order to achieve its interests".
In this regard, the President stressed and repeated the attention of the nations to the danger of arrogance, "The great nation of Iran, with its glorious revolution, put the fight against tyranny and colonialism on the agenda, and on February 1979, the tyrannical government supported by the Arrogant, ended, but if it weren't for the great movement of students following Imam Khomeini's (RA) path, the fight against colonialism would have been incomplete".
Ayatollah Raisi also considered the day of fight against global arrogance as a symbol of the authority and oppression of the great nation of Iran and noted, "November 4th is the anniversary of the exile of the great leader of the Iranian nation, the anniversary of the martyrdom of a group of dear students and the day of students and the anniversary of the movement with the insight of our students and the day of fighting against arrogance".
Emphasising that all tribune holders and officials should clarify and explain the dimensions of actions of the arrogant, especially the conspiracies and seditions of the Americans, the President said, "All those who have the tribune should clarify how the Americans want to sow discord among the nations in order to continue their domination in any way possible".
Dr Raisi added, "If a list of crimes and injustices in the world is to be presented, America is at the top of this list. Participating in more than 300 wars in the world, carrying out 62 coups against the votes of the nations in the world, the atomic bombing that was carried out only by the United States in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and caused the death of a large number of people, participation in the deadliest wars in the history of the world, including in Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam are part of the list of US crimes".
Stating that America plays the leading role in these wars and bloodshed, the President added, "Military intervention in other countries in the name of fighting terrorism and liberating nations, establishing and supporting takfiri groups such as ISIS and al-Nusra, supporting separatist movements and terrorism in many parts of the world and the launching of sanctions systems against independent countries, especially Islamic Iran, and many other crimes are examples of America's arrogant actions".
Dr Raisi then referred to the recent rhetoric of US President Joe Biden against the Islamic Republic of Iran and said, "I was informed a few hours ago that the US President uttered words that may have come from his distraction, because such claims were not made in official tribunes. Apparently, he said that we intend to liberate Iran! Mr Biden! Iran was freed from your clutches 43 years ago, and it is determined not to be your captive again, and we will never become dairy cows".
The President emphasised, "The Iranian nation has declared these positions many times out of insight and knowing their enemy, and today the young generation are expressing the same positions. Do not take the behaviour and words of some few people who are deceived and traitors to the great nation of Iran".
The President continued, "I mentioned to the wise leader of the great nation of Iran that during the trip to New York and the meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations, his first words to me were that, Mr President, I apologise to you and the Iranian nation for not being able to, despite efforts, remove the embargo on COVID-19 vaccine from your country and I replied that, Mr Secretary General, today we have turned from an importer of the vaccine to a producer and exporter of it in the world, and 6 vaccines are produced in Iran, and in various industries, Iranian young experts and professionals are the best in the region and the world".
The President stated that one day the Americans wanted to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero, slow down and stop production in the country, and isolate the Iranian nation in the world in their opinion, but they failed in all these conspiracies, saying, "Today, Iran's presence in the region is decisive, and everyone, including the Americans, knows and admits that there will be no equation in the region without the opinion of Islamic Iran".
Referring to the creation of ISIS by the Americans and the killing of Muslim people in the region by this group, the President said, "Islamic Iran moved to protect the region from the presence of American agents, and Haj Qasem Soleimani became a symbol of the fight against terrorism in the world. The safe zone and the plan of the Americans were overturned, but they were still looking for sedition to slow down the movement of the Iranian nation, but whatever they did, they saw that the movement of the Iranian nation in the path of progress was still accelerating".
The President stated that today, anyone who incites unrest, chaos, mayhem, unrest anywhere in this country, whether he knows it or not, wants it or not, has moved in the direction of the strategy of the Americans and the enemy.
Dr Raisi stated that we are strong due to the authority of the blood of the martyrs, the wise guidance of Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, and the presence of the people with our insight everywhere in the country, and stated, "Our power does not rely only on military industries, but on the presence of millions of you people, on November 4, all over the Islamic country, it is a sign of the authority and power of the Islamic Republic of Iran".
