The meeting will begin with a report by the Education Committee on the measures taken to reopen schools in the yellow and blue cities on a voluntary basis.

The meeting also went on to discuss the coordination made between different committees for awareness and education through information and the duties of the information and advertising committee in this field.

Dr Hassan Rouhani said in this meeting, "Although distance education, due to the infrastructure created by the government in recent years, did not allow the flow of education to be interrupted despite the closure of schools, but it should be considered that there is no alternative to face-to-face education".

The President said, "Certainly, during the school holidays, there were some damages to the students that the Ministry of Education should identify these damages by resuming face-to-face education and reopening schools".

Emphasising that the health of students and teaching staff is very important to us, the President said, "School management should teach COVID-19 hygiene to students accurately and clearly along with other education and make more efforts to maintain protecting health of the teaching staff".

Regarding Nowruz holidays, the President instructed all the committees of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus to use the successful experience of last year and all the experiences gained this year, to submit their proposals on instructions within a short and specific period of time to be reviewed and approved.

In this meeting, the operational headquarters and the Health Committee of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus also reported on not paying attention to health protocols, especially by some agencies and senior officials, both in official meetings and during business trips.

Referring to these reports, Dr Rouhani said, "As the grand maraji and the Supreme Leader have repeatedly emphasised, protecting the lives and health of the people is a red line and one of the obligations".

The President emphasised, "As people must follow health protocols, the officials are also obliged to follow these instructions before people more seriously and decisively".

He instructed the operational headquarters and the health committee to report violations of official instructions by officials to the legal authorities so that legal action could be taken.

The President also emphasised to the governor generals of the provinces with cities with red status to take effective measures and benefit from the experiences of successful provinces in this field.

Dr Rouhani emphasised that considering the situation of the northern provinces of the country (Mazandaran, Golestan and Gilan), it is necessary to make special measures, all protocols should be carefully monitored and all governor generals and agencies of these provinces should act in full coordination.
