President while receiving credentials of the new Finnish Ambassador to Tehran:

Deepening Tehran-Helsinki economic, cultural, political ties essential/Welcoming Finnish entrepreneurs and investors

President Rouhani described ties between Iran and Finland positive and growing, and emphasised the need for efforts to develop and strengthen Tehran-Helsinki business, economic, cultural, and political relations and cooperation.

"Increasing scientific and technological interaction and cooperation between Iran and Finland will be useful and important," said President Rouhani on Saturday while receiving the letter of credence of the new Ambassador of Finland to Tehran, Keijo Norvanto.

Referring to the potentials, capabilities and advancements of the two countries in various sectors, including industry and science, Dr Rouhani said: "Fortunately, today there are good opportunities for investing in Iran, and Finnish entrepreneurs and investors can also be active in these sectors".

The president also referred to the vast natural, historical and cultural attractions in Iran and Finland, emphasising development of bilateral relations and strengthening of tourism between the two countries.

During the meeting, the new Finnish Ambassador to Tehran, Keijo Norvanto presented his letter of credence to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said: "Tehran-Helsinki relations have been developing in recent years and senior officials of the two countries have had good relations and consultations".

Referring to the consultations and agreements between investors, businessmen and trade delegations of Iran and Finland, the Finnish ambassador emphasized the need for efforts to implement the existing agreements.
