In the meeting that was held on Saturday, Dr Rouhani said: “Today, 8 June 2017, is the 111th anniversary of the day when a new Iran rose from among turmoil, creating a new point in history, giving way to Iran’s Constitutional Movement as the first national uprising in the Middle East”.

People’s vote was not an incident but the result of social maturity, said Rouhani adding: “Iranian nation sacrificed a lot for freedom, rule of law, national sovereignty, and their beliefs”.

Stressing that the world must know any violation of JCPOA will be responded by the Iranian nation and government, he said: “People’s vote is our greatest weapon”.

Stating that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is an example of national unity in Iran, Dr Rouhani said: “The Iranian nation will respond respect with respect and humiliation with appropriate response”.

He also went on to say: “The new administration’s policy will continue to be extensive, balanced interaction with the world”.

“The 12th Administration’s pivotal programme is based on freedom, security, peace and progress,” the President added.

“On behalf of the Iranian people and authorities, I explicitly announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not start violating the JCPOA but will not remain quiet against US continuing to wriggle out of its commitments either,” continued the President.

Stating that we want to turn the voice of moderation, logic, and dialogue into the prevailing voice in the region, he continued: “We have no business with novice politicians, but announce the older ones that the experience of JCPOA can be used as a model for relations and international law”.

“We are a peace-seeking administration in domestic and foreign policies; we prefer peace over war and reform over preservation,” President Hassan Rouhani continued.

“Today is not the era of the mother of bombs; let us unveil the mother of negotiations,” said Rouhani, adding: “We stretch our hand of friendship to our neighbouring countries”.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also said: “Foreign powers intensified instability, chaos in region by selling billions of dollars of weapons”.
