President Rouhani appreciated people’s fervent presence in the elections and described it as a “golden page” started in the history of religions democracy. He also appreciated Supreme Leader’s guidance that invited people to have a massive turnout in the elections.
In this cabinet session which was held late on Sunday, Dr Rouhani also said: “This election was the first election held during this government’s term of office and we were determined to hold it with utmost glory and honour, respecting the laws and in peace”.
He added: “The government is responsible to try hard to serve this decent and patient nation”.
Dr Rouhani also asked the Council of Ministers to accelerate prioritised plans, as well as serving people and plans for economic boost.
The cabinet also required National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to deposit oil and gas incomes into the Central Bank, a move consistent with issuing forex-rial bonds.
In this session the bill of economic cooperation agreements between the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Czech Republic was approved.
