President commemorated the anniversary of 13th of Aban, the National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance, and said: “13th of Aban and all the stages of Iranian nation’s resistance against foreigners’ seeking domination during the Islamic Movement, is the indicator of the way to resistance against foreigners’ cupidity and conspiracy.
“We should use our national days and glories to the benefit of strengthening the Revolution more than before and do not let some factions to misuse these historic dates for their own interests” said President Rouhani in the regular weekly cabinet meeting held on Wednesdays.
“Any kind of factional exploitation of these days will be to the detriment of the Revolution and National Integrity” added Rouhani.
He continued: “Today, every person in the country are proud of late Imam Khomeini’s and the Revolution’s path and follow Supreme Leader’s lead and the implementation of the constitution, and support it”.
Dr Rouhani also mentioned that the Supreme Leader’s guidelines are aimed at fostering national solidarity for the people to unitedly stand against foreigners’ influence and be alert to conspiracies.
“Some should not want to, God forbid, misuse these words and terminologies and accuse those who are opposed to us and drive them to the margins” added Rouhani.
Pointing out that the people of Iran are awake and alert and that history has shown that these acts will have reverse effects, President said: “People properly know the meaning of influence and arrogance and know the history of American mistreatment with their country and the people; and they can rightly recognise their national interests and their country’s future”.
“We should seriously fight against foreigners’ influence and no one should play with the word ‘influence’” added President.
He continued: “I hope that all factions and institutions consider these points and we all try to understand and implement Supreme Leader’s words correctly and do not let anybody misuse these words to the benefit of his own interests and that of its group and faction”.
