Iran, Turkmenistan Sign 17 Cooperation Documents

Senior Iranian and Turkmen officials on Wednesday held a joint session in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, during which the two sides signed several documents to further mutual cooperation.

In the session attended by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, high-ranking officials from both countries signed 17 cooperation documents in economic, cultural, political, legal, scientific, and technological fields.
The documents are aimed at facilitating the expansion of all-out cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat.
Extradition of prisoners, cooperation against money laundering, collaboration in power production and exchange, and railway cooperation are among major areas in which documents were signed in the joint session.
