President Hassan Rouhani called the expansion of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, and promoting the level of cooperation as the most important goals of his trip. Iran attaches special importance to Azerbaijan as a country with culture, religion and civilization and the good neighboring, the president said Dr.Rouhani on Wednesday before leaving for Azerbaijan. Stressing its previous meetings with his Azeri counterpart, Dr.Rouhani said that we will continue to maintain relations of the two countries and regional and international cooperation. Emphasis on the potentials of two countries to the development of cooperation and the establishment of closer relations, he said that energy issues and the legal regime of the Caspian Sea are issues that can adjust in the interest of both nations. Issues on strengthening regional cooperation and regional crises including terrorism, other issues will be discussed during the visit, he said.
