The president made the remarks here Tuesday addressing the inauguration ceremony of the new academic year in the Iranian universities.
He said that Islamization of human sciences never means chopping off parts of the human knowledge which relate to humanities.
Even if some have certain critical points to offer about human sciences, he added, they should put forward fresh words and more precise ideas instead of trying to cross out certain parts of sciences.
He also said his government has not forgotten the promises it made to the universities and even fulfilled some of them.
President said the country’s scientific progress depends on interaction with the rest of the world.
“The interaction with the world is not limited to the foreign policy. It should also include economy as well as science and technology,” said president Rouhani.
President also highlighted the need for better academic cooperation with world countries, and said Iran has already started talks with a major country to build an IT Park inside the country.
“The administration is not subject to any constraints on funding research activities, either in the field of applied research needed by the country or in the field of research at the boundary of knowledge, which is necessary for the country,” he said.
