President Hassan Rouhani and Chinese President Xi Jinping in a meeting on Friday called for expansion of ties between the two countries to the strategic levels. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe. President Rouhani urged the execution of all agreements signed between the two states. Chinese president hailed Iran's key role in the region and world and accepted his Iranian counterpart's invitation to visit Tehran the next year.
