President Hassan Rouhani, heading a high-ranking delegation, left Tehran for Ankara, Turkey, on a two-day official visit. The visit is taking place at the official invitation of Turkish President Abdullah Gul. President Rouhani will meet several senior Turkish officials including his counterpart and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The President will also attend the first meeting of a joint committee for strategic cooperation, which was set up during Erdoganˈs trip to Tehran earlier this year. Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh are accompanying the President.
