The first session of the cabinet in the new year was held on Sunday, chaired by President Hassan Rouhani.
The Council of Ministers forbade all public organs from purchasing foreign products that have domestic equivalents in order to support Iranian products.
Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade also presented a report to the cabinet on the structure of supporting Iranian products with an emphasis on producing competitive goods.
The cabinet also discussed the report presented by the Market Regulation Headquarters.
At the same session, the Minister of Agricultural Jihad presented a report on the increase in canola production and harnessing fire in jungles.
