The President, who had visited Tajikistan at the official invitation of the country’s President, left Dushanbe for Tashkent in order to participate in the 16th Summit of the ECO.

Referring to the determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan to strengthen and develop relations in various fields, the President emphasised on increasing efforts to activate the various capacities in the two countries, in order to raise the level of cooperation as much as possible.

Referring to the importance of the role of Iranian and Tajik business executives in the implementation of the Tehran and Dushanbe agreements in the commercial and economic sector, the President emphasised the need to fully recognise the capabilities and productions of Iran and Tajikistan in this field by using the capacity of commercial offices in the two countries and said, “One of the manifestations of getting to know each other's abilities and capacities is the establishment of the exhibition of the products of the two countries”.

Stating that Iran has made great progress despite the threats and sanctions, the President said, "Iran has made great progress in the field of science and technology, and we have significant capacities in the fields of energy, agriculture, industry, mines and technical experiences that we can share with the dear people of Tajikistan".
