Ayatollah Raisi in a meeting with Armenian PM:

Iran to spare no effort to deepen peace, stability in the region/ We can take big steps in serving both nations’ interests with cooperation

Speaking in a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the importance of developing relations between the two countries, and said, "By cooperating and working together, we can take big steps in the interests of both countries and nations."

The President mentioned the capacities of Iran and Armenia in various fields of economy, trade, science and technology and said, "We are determined to complete joint plans and projects as soon as possible and serve the welfare and comfort of the two nations".

Dr Raisi pointed out, "The two governments are determined to develop bilateral and regional relations and cooperation, and we will move in this direction with cooperation”.

Emphasising the comprehensive efforts for lasting peace and security in the region, Ayatollah Raisi said, "We do not believe that conflicts and tensions are in anyone's interest and we will not withhold any help to deepen peace and stability between the countries of the region".

In this meeting, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the election of Ayatollah Raisi, stating that Armenia attaches special importance to the development of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying, "We are confident that in the new term, the process of developing relations between the two countries will keep momentum”.

He added, "Yerevan has the highest level of readiness to develop and strengthen relations with Tehran in the direction of mutual interests”.
