Ahmadinejad Ortega hold first round of talks

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Nicaraguan and President Daniel Ortega held first round of talks in Tehran on Sunday.
The two presidents underlined the extensive common grounds between the two friendly nations, and said they are willing to expand Tehran-Managua cooperation in various fields.
Emphasizing the need for maintaining revolutionary spirit and the precise use of natural resources in reconstruction of the countries, Ahmadinejad and Ortega jointly noted that investment, provision of energy and electricity, agriculture, livestock breeding, fishery, construction of ports and power plants are among the current fields for cooperation between Iran and Nicaragua.
Pointing to the attempts of the big powers to exploit other nations, the two presidents said that independent countries are able to exchange experience and achievements in various areas with the aim of paving the way for progress and welfare of their own nations.
They further referred to the importance of regional and international agreements in world interactions, and called for expediting cooperation among free and independent states within the framework of regional and international treaties to thwart conspiracy of the expansionist powers.
Ahmadinejad pointed to the achievements of Iran in different sectors including dam-building, construction of power plants and agriculture industry, saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no limitation in sharing its experience and update knowledge to Nicaragua, and is ready to cooperate with the brotherly country in various fields.
Touching on the appropriate status of Iran in producing machinery for agriculture and cattle breading, the president expressed Iran's readiness to provide Nicaraguan farmers and farmers with training aimed at increasing the levels of income and welfare of the nation.
"Iran can put its experience in establishing trade and fishing ports as well as fishery and fishing at the disposal of Nicaragua," he added.
Ahmadinejad further said that the Nicaraguan government can provide its nation with progress and welfare in light of round the clock efforts and patience.
Ortega, for his part, referred to the numerous fields for investment in his country, and added that Iranian investors would enjoy preferences to contribute to projects in Nicaragua including energy, tourism, agriculture, cattle breading and industry.
Turning to the serious need of his country to electricity, he noted that Iran's efforts to construct power plant in Nicaragua is a good news for his nation, adding that the country calls for more access to the precious experience and achievements of the Islamic Republic in this respect.
He said that more than 40 percent of Nicaraguan people are living in rural areas, noting that agriculture, cattle breeding and food processing industries are among other grounds for Iranian investors to participate in the development of the country.
