Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq on his birthday, emphasizing the need to strengthen bilateral relations and continue regional consultations to promote peace and stability.
President Pezeshkian held the phone conversation with the Omani monarch on Sunday, wishing health, prosperity, progress and success for the Sultan and the Omani people.
The president expressed appreciation for Oman’s efforts to strengthen regional peace and stability, stressing the importance of continued diplomatic consultations, constructive engagement and making use of the region’s shared capacities to promote understanding and cooperation.
Highlighting the longstanding and friendly relations between Iran and Oman, the Iranian president invited Sultan Haitham to visit Tehran. President Pezeshkian expressed hope that the two sides would meet in person in the Iranian capital in the near future.
For his part, Sultan Haitham thanked President Pezeshkian for his birthday greetings and reaffirmed Oman’s continued commitment to peace, calm and stability across the region.
The Omani ruler also described maintaining close communication and consultations with Iran as a priority for his country.
Haitham thanked the Iranian president for the invitation to visit Tehran and expressed hope that the trip could take place at a suitable time.
