Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev reviewed the latest developments in bilateral relations, stressing the importance of continuing consultations and strengthening ties between the two countries.
During a phone call on Tuesday, the two presidents discussed recent developments and reviewed issues raised during their recent meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on the sidelines of the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
President Aliyev referred to an Azerbaijani government delegation in Iran, holding talks and consultations with Iranian officials on issues and areas related to the bilateral agenda.
During the call, the Azerbaijani president also congratulated President Pezeshkian on his birthday and wished him health, a long life and success in carrying out his responsibilities.
