Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated Turkmenistan on the anniversary of its Independence Day in separate messages to the countryʹs national leader and president.
In a message to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Peopleʹs Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, President Pezeshkian said Iran and Turkmenistan have consistently pursued mutually beneficial cooperation based on shared interests and the goodwill of the two countriesʹ senior officials.
He expressed confidence that the cooperation, rooted in the close ties between the two nations, would be further strengthened and expanded in the future in the interests of both peoples.
In a separate message to Turkmenistanʹs President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, President Pezeshkian highlighted the two countriesʹ deep historical, religious and civilizational commonalities, as well as their shared border and longstanding friendship.
The Iranian president said these common bonds provide a strong foundation for consolidating and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan, expressing confidence that they would continue to contribute to closer bilateral relations.
