Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has welcomed the responsible position of Chinese President Xi Jinping in support of returning to the Islamabad memorandum of understanding (MoU) and resolving disputes through dialogue.
In a message posted on X, President Pezeshkian stressed that Iran also emphasizes the need to return to the understanding, fulfill the agreed commitments and create the conditions for serious and result-oriented negotiations to continue.
He further said that Tehran and Beijing share a view on the importance of respecting countries' sovereignty, reducing tensions, and safeguarding regional peace and stability.
The Iranian president described this shared position as an important basis for constructive cooperation between Iran and China, emphasizing the role of dialogue and negotiations in resolving disputes and maintaining regional stability.
