Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon and the people of Tajikistan on the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, describing the occasion as a manifestation of national sovereignty and a starting point for fundamental developments toward national progress.
In his message, President Pezeshkian highlighted the longstanding historical, cultural and linguistic ties between Iran and Tajikistan, as well as their shared civilizational heritage. He said these common bonds provide a strong foundation for further strengthening brotherly relations between the two countries.
The Iranian president stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran regards comprehensive cooperation with Tajikistan as a priority in its foreign policy. He reaffirmed Tehran’s determination to expand bilateral ties in ways that serve mutual interests, contribute to regional stability and security, and promote the two countries’ shared culture and literature.
President Pezeshkian also praised the Tajik people’s determination and efforts in pursuing independence, dignity and prosperity, saying that this great achievement is a source of pride and honor for all those around the world who cherish the shared culture and civilization.
He concluded by wishing President Rahmon health and continued success, and expressing hopes for lasting happiness, development and well-being for the friendly and brotherly people of Tajikistan.
