Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed condolences to the government and people of Nepal following the deaths and injuries caused by severe flooding and landslides in border areas.

President Pezeshkian offers condolences to Nepal over deadly floods

 

In a message to Nepalese President Ram Chandra Paudel, President Pezeshkian conveyed sympathy on his own behalf and on behalf of the Iranian people for the loss of lives and injuries among local residents and tourists.
 
The Iranian president said the news of severe floods and landslides in Nepal’s border areas with China had caused deep sorrow.
 
He extended condolences particularly to the bereaved and affected families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
 
President Pezeshkian also announced Iran’s readiness to provide humanitarian assistance within its capabilities to help Nepal cope with the consequences of the natural disaster.
 
He prayed for the deceased and expressed hope that Nepal would overcome the crisis and its aftermath with strength and resilience.
