Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed condolences to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and people following a powerful earthquake in eastern Indonesia that killed and injured a number of people.
In a message to President Subianto on Sunday, President Pezeshkian conveyed his sympathy to the Indonesian government and nation, particularly the families affected by the disaster.
He also announced the Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to provide emergency relief and medical assistance to the affected areas.
“Under these difficult circumstances, while expressing readiness to provide any relief and medical assistance, I pray to Almighty God to grant mercy and forgiveness to those who lost their lives, a swift recovery to the injured, and patience and strength to the survivors,” President Pezeshkian said in his message.
The Iranian president added that he hoped stability and calm would return to the affected areas as soon as possible.
